Tara Goudarzi 

My tray with candles was like birthday cake. I tore my clothes again and removed the dry thorns that I had brought to home many years ago from nature, and poured them onto the candles to be lit and the fire, light, heat and purity to be symbols of what I had been looking for. And in the end, I put off fire with clothing and my body.

Tara Goudarzi is a visual art educator and a multi-disciplinary and environmental artist lives and works in Khoramabad, Iran. She received her B.A. in Painting in 2009. She works with performance art, video art and installation art. She has been participating and collaborating with many artists in more than 30 Environmental Art Festivals since 2006. Goudarzi is a member of TaRaz, Open 5, Low Art, Weed and Yatoo Group, whose activities are environmental art. She is one of the co-founders and Art director of the ARTA Contemporary Art Institute since 2014. She is the organizer of the Light Art Performance Events and Homar Festival. She has been managing projects with participating junior high school students annually since 2009. Her works has been exhibited locally and internationally such as Singapore, India, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, France, Korea, England, Canada, America, Romania, Mexico, Finland and Iran.
